About the project

Sindicación en mapas is a final draft of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Alicante. It is directed by the Department of Physics, Engineering Systems and Signal Theory. The project aims to combine information sources and position them according to their geographic location on a map, using information provided by several of the sites called "Web 2.0" and helping the collaboration of the users. Moreover it is intended as a platform for additional content in the form of feed added by users. The project aims to cover locations around the world, especially the Spanish-speaking territory.

About the authors

The authors of the project are Ruben Jarque Torrejón and José Manuel Pérez Pérez. Both are interested in collaborative websites, especially Wikipedia, which has proved to be a great source of information for this and other projects. In the translations we acknowledge the help of Jesús Belotto Martínez.

About the license of the content

Each piece of content provided on this site has its own license, established on the sites of origin. Sindicación en mapas is limited to make a fair use of these sources into a pilot site whose sole purpose is research, not profit taking. The pictures belong to Wikimedia Commons, videos to Youtube, weather reports to Google and MeteoClimatic, classified advertisements to Loquo and encyclopaedic information to Wikipedia.
